Couples counselling can assist with many relational challenges such as managing conflict, difficulties due to outside stressors (e.g., finances), infidelity, and emotional disconnection. It can help support couples in identifying and expressing their feelings, exploring the past, developing solutions to challenges, and equipping couples with strategies (e.g., problem solving, conflict resolution) to heal and grow together. Ideally, couples therapy includes participation from both partners. However, if a partner is not open to it, couples therapy can be done alone, to gain more insight into the ways your relationship could be improved. In addition, frequently it is helpful for both partners to receive individual counselling to help process what is brought up in couples counselling.

My journey as a therapist is marked by a deep commitment to the field of education and therapy, where I aim to create a nurturing and empowering space for clients to navigate through their mental health challenges. Central to my approach is a deep appreciation for cross cultural awareness and the therapeutic alliance, both of which I believe are essential for fostering meaningful progress. Presently, I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor - Qualifying (CCC-Q) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and I am supervised by Erika Miller, R. Psych.

One of the most foundational human needs is to feel connected, not only with others, but also with ourselves. I provide counselling services to children (5+), teens, and adults.

Creating an affirming and secure space for all is of the upmost importance to me. Everyone deserves to be seen and heard as their authentic selves, for this is where I believe the bulk of healing happens. I strive to be transparent, warm, and approachable in conjunction to my clinical skills.

I primarily work with adults and teens who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and issues relating to gender and sexuality. While my specialties include sexual trauma and addiction, I am also trained in EMDR and Neurofeedback. Although I use a variety of different approaches depending on my client’s unique needs, I tend to practice from an attachment-based and humanistic approach.

In addition to being a Canadian Certified Counsellor, I am currently working towards attaining my Registered Provisional Psychologist status. I believe mental health exists on a spectrum- not within a checkbox.
